L-3 Marine & Power Systems has set up a new sales and service division in Singapore. The new organization L-3 Marine Systems Singapore (MSS), a division of L-3 Singapore offers an integrated approach for the products and systems of L-3 Dynamic Positioning & Control Systems, Ocean Systems as well as SAM, Lyngsø Marine and L-3 Valmarine for the region.

Maik Stoevhase, Senior Vice President of Business Development at SAM seas great advantages for the new division: ”We apply a clear strategy to strenghten our presence in South East Asia. The new division is a gateway for the expansion into that region and intensifying existing good partnership to our customers.”

Rainer Thiel has been appointed General Manager of this newly formed organisation. Rainer Thiel possesses 20 years experience in navigation and communication. He held various positions within sales operations.

The principal activities involve after sales sevice, marketing and commissioning of L-3 Marine & Power Systems products for the commercial and offshore market. March 24 - 26 was the first publich apperance of the new division at Asia Pacific Maritime 2010, Singapore’s formeost international maritime exhibition.
